for their connection to performing- judge performance drugs. the mlb is prepared to give a ride a lifetime ban from baseball unless he agrees to not quite a lengthy suspension. the other players are likely to get a 50 game ban. a ride admitted to using performance enhancing drugs earlier in his career but his agent says he will appeal a suspension he is issued. penalties are expected to be announced this friday. the search continues for the gun used in the aaron hernandez murder case. investigators we're back in connecticut yesterday looking for the weapon the former n-f-l star used to murder odin lloyd. surveillance photos from hernandez's massachusetts home show him holding what appears to be a gun shortly before and after lloyd was killed. lloyd's body was found on june 17th near hernandez's home. an attorney representing san diego's mayor says the city should foot the bill to defend bob filner against a sexual harassment lawsuit because he never received state-required sexual harassment training. filner's lawyer made the arguments in a letter to city council on monday-- one day before the counc

completely, no pub intended. >> it's not going to be a clean case what mlb is working here, we don't know the quality of their evidence, we don't know the quality of their witnesses and how this ends up. the mediator has the power here, he can settle in between. he can remove the suspension, which i would say would be pretty highly unlikely. he could uphold the suspension or settle somewhere in between, which is where i think most fans and people following this story feel where it should end up. you get the feeling if they did meet somewhere in between, it would be difficult for rodriguez. >> let's talk about him individually. let's say it's through 2014. he's 40 years old. he's been challenged by injuries. how much game will he have left in him at that point? >> his contract takes him through the year, 2017. the extension he signed back in 2007. so, there was an assumption that rodriguez was going to play until he was 42 years old. right now he's gone through two hip surgeries in the last two years, but he's still, you look at him as a player. he's still a little rusty in the minors but
